What I'm wondering is if he made it anamorphic the same way I do with my Philips.. set the recorder to 16:9 and it records HD/digital widescreen squeezed to full-frame, then patch the DVD files (on hard drive) to add the proper display flags.

I am the original GuessWho and did the original upload to Dime.

You are correct re. adding 16:9 flag on my PC.
The file sfrom the DVD recorder are not in the correct ratio so I used IFOedit when making the DVD so that it would play in true widescreen.
