I know that the intro music before Tie Your Mother Down is from White Man but how about the orchestra music that comes after White Man? I know Queen played an extended version of that Orchestra Music in their Earl's Court Concert (after Procession) and at the Houston Concert both in 1977 when the stage was rising
Does anybody remember that?

Go to Tie your mother Down and listen to the intro music from White Man, but then listen carefully to the Orchestral music just before the Guiter starts to play. That's what I'm talking about.

Sorry I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
Intro music before TYMD IS the intro music before TYMD. Why do you suddenly start to write about White Man ? And what orchestra ?

I cant listen to your upload, cos it just links back to the thread, but I know what youre talking about -
its not an orchestra, its Brian's guitar playing this orchestral sounding ascending scale - he talked about it a while back on his soap box. It uses a technique (the name of which Im sure someone else will be able to remember) which gives the impression of a peace of music perpetually getting higher and higher in pitch, although its actually just like a loop of ascending notes. Or something.
But yeah - not an orchestra - just the good old Red Special working its magic.
I think you're right - at one point this was the intro music as the lights were ascending on the crown shaped lighting rig at the start of the live shows.

Im sure youve noticed this before, but the very opening of ADATR is the White Man riff played in a very slow, grand way, before that ascending guitar thing starts and leads into TYMD.
The original poster didnt express himself very well, and apart from "does anyone remember this?" Im not sure what he was asking exactly, but he was right that theres a White Man preview if you like right at the start of ADATR, before TYMD kicks in.

The music heard after the White Man riff is the ending loop from Teo Torriatte. The idea was to give the album a "full circle" feel. The whole minute-long instrumental intro is actually considered to be part of TYMD. The song was cut from the end of the instrumental on to become the single version.
Brian's guitar technique is called a "Shepard tone." The tone seems to continue ascending infinitely, but the higher frequencies are continually dropping off and being replaced by new, lower-frequency sounds. For a visual idea of what's going on, think about when you hold a screw in your hand and twist it. It looks like the coiled edges are moving down the shaft, when in truth, it's an optical illusion. Shepard tones are the equivalent auditory illusion.

It's in QA by GB only.

Just to add, it's apparently based on the optical illusion of the never ending staircase as per M C Esher
