Which venue on the 2005 tour did this happen?

Hey all

first post for a while here.

I just wondered on the 2005 Queen + tour where was it, when Brian fell down a hole on the stage? was it washington?

Cant quite remember... Also is there a clip of this? or did some one film the show?

I was at this show. If I remember it was between Last Horizon and Bad Company. The stage was mostly dark and it was hard to see what happened. The crew pulled him out of the piano pit and the show went on after a minute.

Brian played some weird chord when he fell into the hole on Paul's piano. Strangely enough, Paul didn't seem to be disturbed by Brian at all, he just kept on playing.

In the VH1 Rock Honor backstage interviews Paul Rodgers told the interviewer that he fell into the piano pit a couple of days later, too. It was when the band started to play "Another One Bites The Dust" and Paul called this "slightly ironic".

You cannot realy see the actual fall on the film from the show. You only see some crewmembers hanging over the edge of the hole.

Yes I was there as well right up front! Man this was a scary thing to see. Brian was walking back from the front of the cat walk when bam he fell right on top of the piano that was coming up from under the stage. He was stuck there for a few minutes and was screaming for the crew guys that were off stage to help him up. Finally they ran out and got him up. He was holding his back and seemed to really hurt himself. He also knocked his guitar out of tune and had to switch really fast during Bad Company. All I could think was wow! this tour could be over when that happened, it looked pretty bad. I believe Brian had a bum back for the rest of the shows on the tour. After that show he would have a crew member with a flash light escort him from the front of the cat walk to return to the main stage.

It was at the Glendale AZ show (I was there) that Paul fell in the pit...having seen the clip of Bri's fall, I'd say Paul looked to be in worse shape, holding his arm and moving slowly for the rest of the show. Roger and Brian kept watching him and asking if he was OK.
It was at this same show that a fan ran on stage and attempted to hug Brian WHILE he played!

I was at the DC show when Brian took the tumble onto Paul's piano. We were down front, and could actually see it coming. The pit where the piano was supposed to rise from had no safety lighting at all, and it's easy to see how he pitchpoled off the deck and into the pit.

Saw Brian backstage after the show and he looked to be in fine spirits if not just a bit sore.

We flew out to catch the LA and San Diego shows roughly three weeks later, and Brian was none the worse for the wear.

Still, it was a litte unnerving. . .
