Both theories are very possible!

We just need to note that complete tapes of both shows probably exist (as we know Flash~BoRhap exists from the second night, and Flash~TYMD for the first night, at least). The bootleggers consistently only used the same bits of material and are probably hoarding the rest.

It's also worth noting that the Live USA people got pre-LP tapes, and they chose not to use anything new on their releases in the early 90s. Either that, or that's all the material they actually received... but I somehow doubt that. Ah, the things we'll probably never know!
