I wrote you what I think and there was not anything about political debates. But if they'll do it with some artistry - yes, it'd be music. Some industrial and dark-ambient tracks have no any trace of melody and they're much better than all crap that TM will ever produce.

You can't give term of 'music', but you say what is music and what is not. I'm sorry, but you're an idiot, Sir.

you calling us crap takes all your credibility because no matter how much you may dislike me, if you call the music on our site not good music you are in deep denial, and rap is still not music.

This is brilliant! I have a really good visual of this, as well.

It is all random
Wasnt this mix assembled after 2pac died? (and obviously Freddie for that matter!). So the only artistic control was down to people trying to fill one of the several 2pac post-death albums to make $$? Hence, its so bloody awful ! I dont think either of them would approve!!

If 2Pac wasn't good, he wouldn't be famous.
He was really good, but of course he had some bad songs too.

The album - "All Eyez On Me" are my favorite 2Pac-album.

And, yes - it's music. How can you deny that?
I heard even dolphin-sounds can be music for some people. It's decided by your mood and the circumstances (they say).

...but if they are going to sample Queen-music or do a remix or whatever, why not try I'm going slightly mad, My baby does me or COOL CAT...?

Anyway, the best Queen-sample I've heard has to be Sheek Louch with "How I loved you". The line goes on and on and are taken (of course) from "Save Me".

I guess all the bands on mtv and the talentless girls who try to sing there are "good" too because otherwise they wouldnt be famous right?

rap is not music, its talentless talking

Okay, Treasure Moment - you got a point (all the girls on MTV).

But it's only 14 year old girls who likes them anyway. But yes, they are famous.

But 2Pac was good. He and The Notorious B.I.G. were great in the 90's. Too bad they both got shot.

A thing I do not understand, is why Queen+ were on American Idol. That show sucksss!

If rap/hip hop are music is up for debate quite often. Some people get it, some don't. But I often also hear a lot complaining about Queen too, though they are the best thing ever happend in the music world, and pretty much all I ever listen too (when I'm alone).

... ... ... ... ...

I think the Sheek Louch song is simply called "How I Loved You", but I'm not 100% sure.

Also U-God from the Wu-Tang Clan has a song called "Rumble", and the first verse is almost identical to "Another On Bites The Dust" (even though some people don't call it music :)

I'm not mad or anything, I just think it's stupid to discuss if it's music or not.
All hip hop songs got a beat, and that's music, right?!

Just to give you an answer: This was patois ! Jamaican language ! To say it with Peter Tosh words: : "...And when I get so bomboclaat upset, me nah talk bloodclaat english bomboclaat grammar !"
And everytime I read such ignorant and arrogant statements I get bomboclaat upset !

But back to the topic:
Not all Rap is mainstream sh*t ! It´s just that most of the people don´t know the variety of the genre ! But that´s completely ok ! It´s just the fact that you should at least show some respect for the work of other people ! Especially the early Rappers and of course 2Pac, who created their own styles, without refering any Idols or copy their styles (Yap, that one was for you TM ! ;-))!

To the point where Rap was put in a position of No-Music: Just listen to some Bone Thugs N Harmony to give you a good example that rap means variation ! There are many good artists out there that deserve some respect !

And I really had to laugh, when some people talked about how commercialized Rap is ! Hey just look at your favourite band ! Queen is VERY commercialized !!! And just ask some people, who are no Queen fans, which songs they know and they will come with the same old stories about WWRY, WATC, AKOM, Bo Rhap ! That´s it ! Same thing with some people here about Rap ! First get some knowledge, then share your wisdom ! Otherwise shut your mouth, as the bible says !

So that was all I wanted to say for the moment !

So to give us all a taste of unity:
Keep yourself alive and JAH guidance and protection !

Warm jamaican greetings
Michael
