I think you've missed the point - Brian said he didnt mind the troops using WWRY because that was what they needed to help get them through the horrors of being a soldier. Whats hypocritical about that?
Are you not confusing, as so many people unfortunately do, the soldiers with the people who start wars?
Brian seems to be against the wars in Iraq etc, in fact I imagine he's generally anti-war, as we all should be, but its not the soldiers fault theres a war - they're just doing their job and going where their told to - the politics involved are irrelevant.
In other words, whilst he may be against them being there and the politics of the situation, Brian has nothing against the soldiers, and if WWRY helps them do a difficult and dangerous job, then they have his blessing.
Thats not hypocrisy at all.

That's the difference - complaining about Brian and complaining about almost everything under the Sun are not the same.
P.S. Lol

You have a point. But perhaps making statements/complaining about human and animal rights, pollution, war etc etc is more relevant than the flac vs mp3 issue, where is all the new Queen material, not another box set and on and on.
We all complain about the things that are most important to us.
Ultimatly of course, if we don't read it, don't go to the site. Right? If we do, we shouldn't complain about it.

Generally, yes it's more relevant. But on the territory of Queen's fans' site - animal rights are not as important as FLAC vs mp3 or box sets. I'm not sure if any of those who like to complain about Brian's complaining are complaining somewhere outside of QZ; and just give Brian any tribune - and he'd be complaining over there as well as in his Soapbox. Though I agree with most of his complaints, but sometimes he can't stop.

I wonder if theres a certain of guilt associated with being so wealthy in a world where there are so many without. I don't for one minute begrudge him one penny of the money he earned, or how he spends it. Perhaps his forum provides a platform for him to alert people to things that otherwise they would know nothing about. This is a positive thing. If we learn, very good. If we disagree, at least we have entertained another viewpoint and considered the subject more than we otherwise might.
I just see it as a positive thing I guess, and welcome his or anyone elses views.
