MERCI BEAUCOUP
Yara, you're absolutely right. I've listened to this recording twice in a row yesterday and I ha the same impression. Freddie is in a very playful mood, maybe he was high ...? He tries a lot of extravaganzas, e.g. Killer Queen is very special. LMEY, DOTL, NIH, CLTCL and especially WATC are outstanding. Brians playing is fantastic in my opinion, though I'm no guitar expert.

Does anybody know why the sound quality differs so much, sometimes there are cuts and quality changes within one song? Seems like it's a compilation of 2 or more sources.

Strange and at the same time funny is how Freddie insults the audience. His language is very rude at times. Even a compliment sounds like an insult. He often did this at concerts in the UK, maybe he felt more self-confident there?
... I'll be back again before it's time for sunny-down ...

That's probably the best explanation.

My best guess is it was a bad tape transfer somewhere down the line... perhaps even 15-20 years ago. This is the only version that seems to have circulated.
