Many years ago (okay, okay, I was 20) I went out on a date to an amusement park with a guy named Rick. He set out on the arcade games and after several tries, won a Paddington Bear. It was so cute! He walked over to me grinning, and I expected him to place good ol' Paddy in my arms, BUT! He said "Sorry Janet, I've always wanted one of these guys! I'm keeping him!" And he did!
That was our last date.

happy birthday Paddington Bear.ive always been tempted to buy one when ive been stuck at the station after a few beers waiting for the train back to Penzance but always come to my senses just in time.its being brought up on the show in the 70's i think ;-]
now how will he celebrate.will he be a creature of habit and have marmalade sandwiches or will he be a rebel and go for marmite ones?
