My town has a boil order in effect, due to ecoli found in the water. We're also in the middle of the first heat wave of the year with temps in the mid 90s and a lot of humidity. We aren't supposed to wash our hands, shower/take baths, drink, or basically do anything with the water unless it's boiled. I'm a type of person who washes my hands every five minutes and I feel dirty not being able to. Oh well. It's supposed to be like this for at least five days.

Everybody should own one.
If it makes you feel any better,
I could call you a pussy for not being able to take the heat.

But I could also like...
Throw you some water... I guess =]

Hello, Jacob!

I'm sorry about that. It must be really disturbing.

We're in the midst of a Dengue fever epidemic here in Brazil, one of the worst in history. We had to deal with Aedes Aegypti (fancy name of the mosquito) before, but this time it's really worse, it already claimed the lives of more than 200 hundred people just this year, and, like, it's the beginning of the year and the epidemic is hardly under control.

Why I say all that? Well, similarities here and there between so distant countries. The mosquito breeds on water collections, "stuck" water. It's pretty hard to fight the disease once the epidemic is "out".

More people will die, for sure.

Vitruvio, back in the times of the Roman Empire, he was a Roman Architect, had already pointed out to the danger of water collections and how various kinds of illnesses could be related to it because many insects would breed on them and so on.

Now, 2000 years later...still the same problem. Now on a national scale.
