This comes from the sleevenotes on "A Kind of Magic" (the album):

Queen are:
Freddie Mercury - vocals, keyboards
John Deacon - bass guitar, keyboards, occasional guitar
Roger Taylor - drums, occasional vocals, keyboards
Brian May - guitar, occasional vocals, keyboards

Does anyone actually have any visual evidence (photos or videos) of Roger Taylor playing the piano or a synthesizer?

I'm as mad as HELL, and I'm not going to take this anymore!
Didn't he "key-in" the drums on Don't Lose Your Head?
He composed Radio Ga Ga, which would be unlikely on any stringed instrument.
He also composed "Happiness", which too was probably written on the piano. The list goes on (even if it's not allthat long). I get that he DID, but are there any photos of videos of him playing the paino? It just seems odd that I haven't seen any.

Several of his post-Jazz songs were written on piano or synth.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.
Yeah, I also gather that this is around the time he (and John) started learning the piano.

Remember that "keyboards" isn't the same thing as piano.

Even the Flash Gordon soundtrack album credits all the guys with "synth" in addition to their more usual instruments, and "keyboards" is just a fancier term for the same instrument...

Even I can play a synthesiser if you're expecting nothing more than funny noises, and I'm also smart enough to leave the actual piano playing to those who can do it. ;)
I posted the same question a while back - we know that Roger plays piano/keys, but has anyone got a picture?

I think this is just out of interest, as we we've seen John play piano on video, guitar on Live at the Bowl, and even drums in the One Vision video. We've seen Brian play piano, bass (on the Another World web cam), and Freddie and Roger both play guitar.

Come on, someone must have a piccie!!

There's a pic where Roger is "using" John's bass. During the One Vision session.

It's not the same as a piano, but at least the strings are there.
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."
