Hello all of you Queen fans out there,
I was watching the Live at the Bowl DVD when, during Action This Day, right before the second verse I saw this flying object coming towards John. Is it just me or did somebody try to hit John that night(lol)?

No it was just some moron who obviously thought it was funny to try and injure someone by throwing something.
Since when do bottles bounce?
To me it looks like a (tennis)ball.

well it doesn't look like a tennis ball to me, it looks more like those plastic bottles, and if so, they would bounce.
I had a similar question... when I freeze framed it it looked a bit more like a razor to me.
...and it looked as if it flew at Freddie, then bounced and almost hit John.
it was a plastic bottle, i too have seen this and pointed it out to many a bored person after 20 rewinds, but its there.
I guess its something bands have to deal with now and again - theres always at least one tit within throwing distance of the stage.
Theres a great video I've got of The Darkness playing a festival - mid song someone hurls a bottle, presumably of piss, at Justin Hawkins. Without even breaking stride and whilst continuing to sing he neatly volleys it into the space in front of the stage and gives the guy the finger - smooooooth.
Makes me laugh whenever I see it.

What appears to be a plastic does land at Johns feet during "Action This Day" The thrower was probably just drunk and excited and not trying to injure John.
