Be very, very wary of this seller/trader - he is the guy I got the Blue Bohemian Rhapsody from that I'm now offering for trade, but he was not quite as honest about it as I'm being in my post. Basically, he told me it was in MINT condition and charged me a price for it which is unacceptable for a VG record, then shunted responsibility when I pulled him up over it. He claimed it was mint condition when he sent it, and the photos he sent me did not show the label damage as mine does. He also sent the vinyl out in an unpadded 12" mailer which was torn and not very secure. He is a complete and utter liar (either that blind and unable to visually grade a record - he thinks that many light marks and the odd scratch means mint) and not "one of the good guys" as Brian would put it (see his website). DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN.
Did he claim it was a genuine copy as well? No wonder you're in a mood about being offered a tenner for it
I have no doubts whatsoever regarding the authenticty of the single, but I am not happy at the way he misled me concerning the condition of it. At least I have provided a detailed photo and have given a truthful grading of VG - not MINT like this liar. Also, if anyone were to trade with me or buy it, then I'd always offer a refund or swap back if they weren't happy - this complete scumball has denied all responsibility for what he did. He is a rip-off merchant. His items are genuine, but his communication is not - do not buy or trade with him but, if you have to, for fuck sake get a detailed close-up shot of what he's selling, get him to give you a grading before buying and keep the e-mails to prove any conversations you had with him!!!!!
I have known wegotit for a while and while you have a right to your opinion, I only have good things to say about him. He is friendly, honest and always true to his word. Sometimes emails take a while because he is very busy but I never heard from anyone that he is anything else but reliable. If a transaction went wrong you should make another effort to sort it out with him. Apart from that you will understand that we trust our own experience. It's easy to tarnish someone's name on the internet but we are all judged for what we do rather than what other people say about us.
I made the effort, he lied. I replied with another attempt, he ignored completely. He couldn't even answer a straight question. If he has the time to continue selling, then he has the time to send a simple reply or try and get things sorted with me. He may have been the epitome of customer service to you, but he's simply lied to me, either that he's an incompetent dealer. I respect your opinion, but this is what has happened to me and I'm not best pleased with this man. I have learnt a lot from this experience - never, ever deal with this guy.
for my experience wegotit is an honest and reliable collector. I thought it was fair posting here that I recently took some items from its collection and had no problem at all.
I'm also taking a few items as well. Based on the communication alone, he seems very nice, and very helpful. I don't sense any issues or problems oncoming with Thomas :-)
Yes, he was very friendly with me also until he got my money. I gave him a scale of prices I was willing to pay, depending on condition - 800 Euros mint down to 500 Euros for a Good copy, I wasn't interested in anything below that. Originally, the purchase was meant to be a surprise for a friend as I already have the numbered version, and Thomas told me 800 Euros as it was mint. About a week later, this big, burst mailer arrived with no padding whatsoever and inside was a Blue Bohemian Rhapsody that was nowhere near mint (many marks, albeit light, on both sides and of course the tape residue and tears on the label). Now, he had shown me a photo, but it did not display the same detail as the one mine does (which can still be downloaded from my original thread). When I asked him about it, he said it was mint when he sent it. Maybe it was, but if he had packed it properly it would have arrived in the condition, but it didn't. But I don't think he sent it mint, I think he just lied to get the highest amount I was willing to pay for a mint copy. I sent him another e-mail, which he has just ignored. My friend has seen the vinyl but did not like the condition and so I am forced to sell/trade on - with all honesty about the condition, so no-one feels ripped off, like I do with Thomas. His attitude stinks and he blatantly misled a fellow collector here for money, despite how many "good" deals he may have struck with other members of this forum. Please, even if you have had good dealings with him before, just beware that he might just let you down too.
