HEERLEN - Een onlangs door de 25-jarige Heerlense schooljuf Hanny van Arkel ontdekte astronomische nevel, wordt naar haar vernoemd. De reflectienevel staat sinds de ontdekkking in het astronomische wereldje in wetenschappelijke publicaties te boek als Hanny?s Voorwerp, liet de onderwijzeres woensdag weten na berichtgeving door Elsevier.
Van Arkel deed als amateurastronoom mee aan een project van Galaxy Zoo dat vrijwilligers uitnodigt sterrenstelsels te classificeren. ?Bij toeval ontdekte ik daarbij ten zuiden van het sterrenstelsel IC 2497 een diepblauw onregelmatig gevormd vlekje. Come on, it was just an article of a dutch women who discovered a new something in the galaxcy en she has started studying the galaxcy insperd by mr May. There you have it.
Why is this an english forum anyway. Queen is a world trademark so sometimes it can be in other language.
Can anybody phone QP perhaps that they remove Mustapha and Tep Torriate also from the records because they contain also forreign languages. Oh and don't forget to remove that Hungarian song from the Budapest files also.

Perhaps we should have a section of the forum set aside for non-English speakers. I noticed a few nights a go there were 6000 people online and yet only about 3-4 people were posting comments (no doubt all of them idiotic, but that's another issue). I would guess about 90% of that 6000 were only here to leech from the 'Sharing the music' forum, but there is probably a 'market' for a new non-English section that would allow those with a limited (or no) command of English to participate. Also, I agree with your comments about English: while it is the commonly used language here, and the language of the website owner, there's no need to abuse the topic starter.

I don't know if there should be an own topic, but the once off that somebody put on a file in an other language is indeed no reason to act so........well don't know the right anglish word for it. This is a forum for every Queen fan, that is something we have in common, well at least I supossed it is, ans Queen fans are from all over the world, and although I think that my english is good enough, dutch is still my native language.
And over all every fan is doing it's best to speak in english after all, so come on everybody don't be so upset once in a while :-)

Mijn random thought was trouwens ook niet in het Engels, maar toch werden ze toen niet zo kwaad. Ik vind het niet erg als iemand wat in een andere taal post. Er zijn genoeg Nederlanders op dit forum die het wel kunnen lezen.

The fact that I don't post in every topic doesn't make me a newby because I visit this forum for at least three years now, but most of the times I don;t have anything to report. This way of talking, by calling newbies immediatly morons is not helping. If a newby indeed made a mistake it's just nicer to be polite and telle them about the rules in afriendly way.

Am I not mistaken in remembering YourValentine also stating and reiterating this rule a few times before in the past?
It is very annoying when the posts here are written in languages other than English, and no translations by the poster are included in the same post.
It makes us feel like the Dutch posters here automatically assume everyone else in the world speaks Dutch, when only a small percentage of people speak that language and its varients in the world, really.
A lot of bulletin boards online specifically state in their rules/FAQ's that the conversations MUST BE IN ENGLISH. Some have separate sections for foreign conversations for this reason.
Some chat channels enforce this rule as well.

Maybe, like someone else said, you could be useful or HELPFUL, and translate it for us, and also write a *polite* comment in Dutch on the same post to remind your fellow Dutch poster(s) that English is pretty much a requirement here, rather than telling them to fuck off and incurring their ire.
