Interesting to note that Brian says on his soapbox that the album cover is not like anything that anybody will be expecting.
Good to hear that it's not going to just be that space pic :-)

They have it revealed in the Album Club (under Images), and if you haven't seen it yet, it IS very different from most other Queen album covers. And to me, from what I've been hearing from certain people involved in the Queen circle, it is already sounding very different from their old, classic works. So this is to me a good representational idea of how different it will be :-)
And I certainly don't mean it in a crappy way either.
This will be their first album since Miracle to have all the (current) band members on the front cover (or Works if you don't want to count them being meshed together by CG for Miracle).
But I think some nitpicks will be bashing the cover for 'poor design' etc etc. cos of their first impressions, just a heads up. Also, this is their first album in a very long time, I think, that had a cover NOT designed by Richard Gray, though I could be wrong (I'm going by the impression I get from the Sleeve Notes comments from the album's photographer)
However I think in some ways it's brilliant, it's very different and I certainly can't wait for it.

PS. The cover artwork for 'C-lebrity' is also available in the Album Club images
The cover looks depressing.
Hummmm .. just checked it in the album club. Don´t know if I like it yet. Want to hold it in my hands and watch closely ...
And it seems, if you go to the credits section in the album club, that Richard Gray was not involved in this new artwork .. wich, at least to me, it is good news

the picture is nice, but terrible backgrounds...as "Return of the champions", this cover doesn't look very professional
I like it ! It got a clean look.. The font is simple & clean too. Nice Job !
Now bring us the track list =)

I quite like it, nice basic cover Nice to see the ban on the cover again unlike the Innuendo singles etc with all thatweird arty stuff(for good reason obvously). It was always going to be somehow "space " related I thought given Brians recently improved "C-lebrity" status in the world of astonomy. Very exciting that we'll finally have some new material in just over a month. Please guys, don't let it be shit I've been waiting on this too long for that.

Nicely Said. I'm sick of people on this site always saying bad things about this band.
"The album cover is too basic"...... what do you want... a fuckin 3d album cover were every band member pops out of the cover and thanks you for buying the album!

Or a stereo photo'd cover with just that?

I like this simple style, a sign of something fresh and new. Apparently a photographer called Edgar Martins is behind it.
The single cover is more appealing to me than the album art though. It is quite similar but it has a little bit more of that Less Is More design.

What is "fresh" about a black sky, desert-like sand and 3 elderly guys dressed in black? It's dark and gloomy - the cosmos seems to be rocking somewhere else :-)
If someone provided this artwork for free with an audience recording bootleg, I would not even use it!
The only way to make this look good, is to get it on vinyl signed in silver marker!

That would make a nice companion to my copy of ROTC (CD) signed in plain black marker by Paul.
