Queen was and always will be a band ahead of its time.
Some one hit a wrong button thats all. Who cares, we all understand what they mean anyway.

Ooow I typed one extra zero - must start a thread on this to be ultra negative. For god's sake some people really do need to get out a little more.

It's just that Queen, of all bands, have always been meticulous about what they put out. Whether it be an album (I remember the story about a sleeve being pulled from distribution because it had a spelling error on it regarding John's name), videos, whatever. One of the main reasons given for not publishing an "Anthologies"-box is that the try-outs and outtakes are substandard, and Queen do not want to release substandard songs.
However, when it comes to their presence on the Internet, all those standards seem to have faded away. From the old days at queen-fip.com 'till now, the numbers of times the message "coming soon" showed and shows on my screen makes me cringe. Why add a menu-item when there's no content? And how long do they think I believe it really is "coming soon"?
It's not the fact that they write 20005 instead of 2005, it's the fact they don't seem to care.

"Is there really no quality control at QP anymore?"
Was there ever?
Was there ever?

Not at all - I only started this topic to show my frustration with the fact that there seems to be little quality control at QP, online-wise. This is not the first time things are (imho) not done right. Just like the Top-100-bootlegs.... it's not the fact that they release bootlegs but the fact that they just stop at a certain moment - not nearly reaching 100 released bootlegs.
I always feel very excited when I read announcements from QP about what they have planned regarding the website and eventually I always feel disappointed with the result. Not complete, not in time, not what they said it would be. I realize that that is a personal opinion and people might not agree but I guess that's what this forum is (also) about.

I nominate Mr. Star Trek here to take over at QP.
I suppose you complained about the little plastic cases the Star Trek DVDs came in as well, yes?
