Last album I bought by them was Blow Up Your Video in 1988. It wasn't up to much and was the last time I bought an album by them without hearing some samples first. By that point, they had been going downhill since their last really good album which was Flick of the Switch. I've heard The Razors Edge, Ballbreaker and Stiff Upper Lip but they weren't that great either. So I'll wait to hear some samples of the new stuff. Hope it's back to old form, but bands rarely recapture what made them originally interesting.

Back in Black was the equal of anything they'd done previously. And Angus is at least as interesting as Bon. Having said that, what got me into them was when i saw the video for Let there Be Rock, in the pre-Brian Johnson days.

Back in Black was the equal of anything they'd done previously. And Angus is at least as interesting as Bon. Having said that, what got me into them was when i saw the video for Let there Be Rock, in the pre-Brian Johnson days.
That album cover so beats the new Q+PR! Can someone send this to Brian May with 'HINT' written on it in big, screaming letters, preferably in fluorescent green?

Holly, you should give Razor another chance. Now, maybe it's because I saw the tour, but that album is really good. And soundwise, it's fantastic, thanks in part to Bruce Fairbairn.

I'd like to say, Back in Black was pretty damned awesome - my comment wasn't aimed at Angus in the slightest.
I really do feel though that AC/DC was more fun to listen to when Bon Scott was fronting it. He was such a character!!!
Brian Johnson isn't what I'd describe as terrible, but he ain't my cup of tea. And I can't stand the way he sings stuff like "Thunderstruck". I heard that on the radio the other day and I felt awful.
PS. Let There Be Rock is what got me onto them as well. I suppose it's songs like "She's Got the Jack" that keep me somewhat fixed on the 70's AC/DC.
