Cosmos Rocks - a first short review

Cosmos of Rockin': opening with some horror film sounds it emerges as a straigth rocker in best Status Quo sound.

Time To Shine: Spherical Ethno sounds grow to a bombastic rocker in the style of It's Late.

Quiet of Burnin': Typical Paul-Rodgers-Blues combined with hard rock guitars and a chorus lead by roger ? Rock ? n roll will never die ?

Small: Fine acoustic ballad with hymn-like refrain soudns a bit like All God's People. A definite radio-favorite.

Warboys: Weird guitar inferno as the only approach to the hard rock genre.

We Believe: Fragile acoustic arrangement grows to a typical queen hymn. The biggest memory to the Mercury past.

Call Me: Banal Sing-A-Long in the folk rock sound.

Voodoo: Tuneful Blues-Jam with sound check character. A filling number.

Some Things That Glitter: Epochal piano rockers in dynamic range. The Bohemian Rhapsody of this CD.

C-lebrity: we all know about this..

Through The Night: Bombastic guitar carpets hit on carried Vocal arrangements.

Say its not true: we all know about this..

Surf Up... School's Out!: Weird Radio-Intro followed from harp inferno and some Headlonglike Mitstampf beat.

Small reprise: A gentle Chill out Grooves end.

No. Paul and Brian swap bass duties according to the press release. (Though apparently Roger might have used bass on some songs while composing them, cos early on they did say all three of them were playing bass.....maybe Roger wasn't that good?)
