Katy Perry on Freddie

I kind of like her music....and how in everyone of her interviews she remarks about much Freddie inspired her!

Tell us about your love for rock band Queen?

Freddie Mercury was a bad ass. It was kinda like he didn't care what anybody thought about him, he always brought the entertainment value to the show.

Who would have thought that you would write a song about girls with big asses? [Fat Bottomed Girls].

And everybody would sing along to it and, I don't know, he seemed like he had a good sense of humour in his life and was smart and intelligent and, basically, said exactly what was on his mind and I respect that.

He never censored himself for the sake of anybody.

I agree completely - Freddie was a badass, living the life like he wanted to, being who he was, and playing music from the heart.

One thing he didn't do, though, was write a song about girls with fat asses. Well, there's a mention of fat-bottomed girls in Bicycle Race, but the song you're probably thinking of is by Brian.

She doesnt say that, she likes the way Freddie perform that song. And despite Brian wrote the song, it is really a kind of Freddie's humor to sing about girl's big asses. Brian is too decent in a way.
