Hello, I hope this has not been asked before, but when and why did freddie begin to use the stick from a mic stand for his shows?

If i have got his wrong, don't all jump on me!!
I think i read somwhere that in an early performance the end fell off the mic stand, leaving the stick in his hand, and the rest is history!!

When I perform a concert, I'm just going to grab the microphone off the damn stand. If I was to do a remake of a Queen song and a Queen video to go with it, if there was a video to the song when it was released by Queen, I'd do a complete remake of the video too. I'd even let my mustache grow out if Freddie had one at the time.
