Just out of wondering did Queen+PR tour with a support act in 05? I know they had razorlight at Hyde Park but wondered how the other shows worked, did they hav support or didn't need it?!

didn´t need it. They had no support acts, I think. At least the two shows I attended, Brixton Academy and Barcelona, didn´t have it
And there was no support at Sheffield the one that got recorded ( i was there )

Also Hyde Park special guest was Peter Kay what a laugh he had us all singing and swaying to you'll never walk alone but he changed it to you'll never roll alone ( he was in his wheel chair as Brian Potter from the Phoenix Nights ) awesome night ended up in kensington in a curry house at 1 in the morning i have some clips somewhere.
There can be only one
They had no support act at the 2 shows I attended in the USA, Pittsburgh and Cleveland.....2006
R.I.P. PRINCESS Living Life on Life's Terms
Razorlight at Hyde park..

And in one gig a band with a female singer was the support act... I dont remember wich date.

Cologne maybe?

Cheers
Queen rocks!
No support acts at Vancouver (2006). I was there :)
Hey folks,

In Leipzig and Cologne there was no support-band, too.

regards
W.
The only show with a real support-act (apart from Hyde Park) was Arnhem. Support was Dutch band Krezip.
Roger AAAAAHHHH!
Outside of the U.S. I see no reason why they'd employ an opening act. Nobody would care and new music should not support so veteran a band.

In the U.S. I would guess a big name opening could be the difference in top arenas and top stadiums, a big place vs. as big a place as can be done. But it would have to be a proper act like Def Leppard for instance.
no support act in Munich 2005
Live life to the full!
They had "Track 13" and "Eminem" instead of a support act

There was no support act in NJ or in Jacksonville. I was at both shows.
Wo ist das kamerahhhhhhhhhhh!!! NJ!!!
You mean a kind of a warm-up band before the show? They had no such band in Moscow September 15, 16. Before the show, waiting for the audience to gather they played the recorded AC-DC album. And then without any pause the concert started with lights going down and a wide screen showing Cosmos and how it Rocks!
There was no support band on the US '06 tour, period. The band played a full two-hour set most nights, instead of the typical concert setup of 30-45 minutes for the support act then 90 minutes tops of the guys you actually came to see.

Much as I think a Def Leppard/Queen pairing would be cool, I don't know that it would be good for Queen fans. For one, Q+PR's set would almost certainly be shortened. Two, I'm not sure who would open for who over here. DL's done lots of "Def Leppard+" tours lately, and they're never the opening act.
