Come back John.... miss you...... :(
As much as I would love to see JD back in the fold I think we have to respect the fact that he prefers the quiet life these days.

In the glory days he always seemed slightly uncomfortable in the limelight so I guess he is happy living the life of a normal person. I guess he possibly secretly hopes the new stuff doesn't draw too much attention to his absence cause that might mean some dirty tablod journo trying to dig up some JD exclusive and invading his privacy?
Shadow boxing with yourself just seems to get you no where!
I think the recent namecheck of John as a 'pop genius' by the BBC 'lukewarm - yes I started it' review was absolutely spot-on.

Just listened tonight to Sheer Heart Attack and Misfire was a gorgeous slice of pop genius. When you add Deacy's input (aggregate) into the Queen product you have a great body of work which could stand up well in it's own right as a great LP - OK it wouldn't necessarily appeal to all Queen fans of the band in it's entirety over the years.........

The other aspect of John which is comletely and utterly overlooked is his bass genius. I have spoken to many bass players over the years and John is considered a true great in the annals of rock.......

I have to add to the fold, that John, if by some weird quirk you actually read this fold that you are enjoying your retirement! Hope you are still playing though and enjoying life...

He has left forever. He's dead.
