I am interested. I would never give up on bokkepoot's hub, but I am interested in any sharing possibility.
I do not want any google ads here.
I am interested too.

Um, by "official stuff", I hope you don't mean anything other than albums only :-) (eg. B-sides, single versions, edits, blah blah blah)

Hard enough trying to share unique & alternative material here as it is.[/QUOTE]

That's exactly what I mean. I didn't spend years tracking down obscure 7" and alternate versions just to hand them over to you for free.

I realise this will come as a surprise.
this is great, a really positive response. i tried getting a hub online myself last night and today with massive difficulties, the software to run it is really really fucking easy and i'm sure someone here would be able to do it, but for some reason it just wont work on my computer, i think it might have something to do with my IP provider, so if there is a kind soul who will help out and have the hub run off their computer then please send me a PM and i'll grab ur email address and send u all the nessecary equipment.

sorry i couldn't do it myself.

cheers.
I'm in if anyone I've built a pretty decent colection in lossless and I think it's time we didn't have to wade through any mp3. I'm not a great net surfer but in forums like www.thetradersden.org and tapecity there's never a question of mp3.

Count me out then.
Interested too...
This is a very good idea !
It's possible for me to run a third hub.
I have to build it so it can take a little while.
I was thinking of this for a few months too.

I talked with Fatoldsun today about it.

People who know me know that the existing queenhubs are almost always online and working. If there is a period of offline, it is because I have to restart my PC.

As I said I need a little time to make a good hub.

I let you know when I'm ready for taking a watch in the new hub.

Keep an eye on this post !.

Best regards

This is going to be so hard to police.
Whilst (ultimately) we all want a lossless sound, its not going to happen for the major part.
They'll be mp3's in flac format or something of that nature.
Dont get me wrong, if it can be done, then im in. But I doubt it. Most, if not all of the rare stuff is mp3.

So, count me out
What the hell we fighting for?
Count me in, very interested.

as i've said to a couple of people, i come from a very strict upbringing when it comes to lossless. you're right at one point SOMETHING MAY have been mp3 at one stage but if we are ever in doubt we can do a spectrum analysis but thats where communication comes into play with the users and the op's.

the current queen hubs allow pretty much anything and everything, this new hub most definitely would NOT. its most definitely going to be the cleanest hub we have.

the fact is that you're never going to get a 100% pure lossless, wherever you go. everything is lossy, as soon as it leaves the stage and shoots down a mic lead it becomes lossy lol which is why us lossless nazi's continue to try to keep the sound quality at its very best so there is no loss of quality beyond the original wav files.

but this will be the most lossless source for queen DC++er's. all the existing DC++er's with a majority of mp3 in their share currently will be severely warned about converting from mp3 to flac before proceeding to the new hub if they wish to come across and they will be under a very close watch during their first few weeks.

i hope that reassures you abit :)
