I don't know how could any Metallica fan complain about 'Death Magnetic', including the naysayers and whiners who have been calling them sell-outs since the video for 'One' was on rotation on MTV.
It's indeed the best Metallica album since 'The Black Album', and to some it might not be superior to the '84-'91 era of Metallica, but it's quite close.
Metallica fans are getting back what they've been asking for through all these years, heavier riffs, louder snares, longer guitar solos, and James screaming his lungs out.
I already got my ticket to see them live in January, and I seriously can't wait.

If it did, the album would have sucked just like 'St Anger'.

I got the album yesterday and its the first time Ive ever shed a tear to a Metallica album! Its fucking amazing. Track 1 is immense! And it wasnt just me either, nearly everyone in HMV had a copy. I think its gonna be a big seller. Definately on a parr with Lightening/Puppets.
Its what Metallica fans have been waiting for for years and theyre definately back to thier best.

its the best since black album but its still nothing impressive at all, some catchy stuff here and there but overall very medicore and not to mention extremely bad production.

I love it too!
Figures that this, as seemingly every other music related discussion here, turns into Treasure Movement stroking himself....
This is IMO the best album since "Ride the lightning". There is not a single weak track on it and all of them stands equally next to the "old Metallica" songs. I would go so far as saying this is the next best ´tallica album. I don´t have a clue why Treasure Moment commented on DM being poorly produced, sounds darn good to me. Why don´t you give them a call maybe you can drop some words of wisdom about how a proper album should be mastered. They´ve made music since you wore diapers so shut it! To leave Bob Rock was the best choice they´ve made in years and they seems to have found a new energy witch they had in the mid-80´s. Even the instrumental is fucking avesome, maybe not as good as ..(Pulling teeth) and Orion(I´ve got a instrumental fetish). I even love that they can "make fun of themselfes" by calling one track Unforgiven III...10/10 from me, and it keeps rolling in my player more often than "Cosmos".
For all you scandinavian ´tallica fans out there:
Keep a lookout for some dates late May, early June soon to be confirmed!
DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE!!!
