I third that decision also. Maybe I used "random" a bit too often in my post!

I know I've gone into watching the Boosh with this knowledge that the random fan base love it so, so maybe that has clouded my judgement slightly.

However, I thought this about The League Of Gentlemen many years ago. I rewatched it again on Dave recently but still didn't get it.

Not sure if I'll get the Mighty Boosh in a couple of years either.

Still, each to their own.

I hate kids who remark "THAT was random" to things other people say when they really aren't random at all.

I once saw a classmate's MySpace and she mentioned on her "General Section" that she liked "Being random". What the fuck? How can being random be a hobby? If all you do is sit around deciding when it would be a good time to "Be random" then it's not really being random! D:

Not a fan myself at all.

I had the pleasure of seeing Noel Fielding live - that was awful too - only time I laughed was when he sledged some guy in the audience for telling him to piss off - clearly something he was used to doing.
Russell Brand is waaaaaaay more funny then Noel Fielding.
Frankie Boyle has more comedic ability in his little toe than Russell Brand and Noel Fielding put together...
Frankie Boyle isn't that funny, he's pretty run of the mill really.

As is Noel Fielding's stand up (I say that, but there are actually some really good bits to it.) It's the double act of The Boosh that makes Noel funny.

Russell Brand however, is just the best stand up I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Absolutely brilliant.

Who's getting the Mighty Book of Boosh then? :D

Ah! You just reminded me. I've been meaning to tell you to try to see Russell's appearance on Craig Ferguson's show (US network CBS--Late Night With Craig Ferguson) the day after the MTV Awards, if you haven't seen it. Russell absolutely killed! He and Craig had a great time and were very funny. I hope you have a chance to see it.

I just watched it on youtube! Ha, it was awesome!
I ordered the book a day before your message was posted, pfft. xD

How's it bad? I don't know about the content, but the illustrations I saw at a preview page looked really gorgeous.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I'm getting on a bit and I just dont understand what makes the younger generation giggle anymore. Just as my own father could never undertand why I laughed at all those so called "alternative comdedians" in the 80s.

As for Russell Brand. I've heard funnier material from preists at funerals than that pretentious twat has to offer.

fatty.
