If only I could buy from an international iTunes store...:-/
NO KIDDING!! THIS IS BS!!!!
I feel like i'm being discriminated against and CANNOT understand in this global 21st Century age why official channels of commercial exchange are being cut off, forcing us Americans to seek illegal pirate copies unless I first can find some way of purchsing Runaway. I'd love to pay for it, but the set-up is ridiculous.
It's a good thing the Japanese sell to Americans or else I might have not paid for the new album. Like I was going to wait 1 1/2 months for the USA release.

You may have to wait until October when the new album is released in the states, For this track to be available over your side of the pond?

I also do not understand why the American fans are being punished in this way. I have just received an email from the Japanese online company HMV:
"Dear Customer,
Thank you for your e-mail.
....
This downloading service is limited only within Japan. Unfortunately, we are not permitted by the record companies to distribute the data to overseas.
Therefore, we cancelled above-mentioned order and arranged the refund. We will let you know via e-mail when the procedure is done.
Thank you for shopping at HMV.co.jp.
We look forward to your next visit to our website.
Best regards,
HMV E-Commerce Customer Service"

I have already downloaded all the songs individually and burned them onto a disk to listen to in the car (my best speakers situation). So, now that they are giving me my money back, not only do I have an illegal copy, but it is now free, I guess. I don't know if they will realize I purchased all the individual songs as well and give me refunds for those also.
I'll buy the CD when it is available here. Two, probably ... one for my brother (I always give him music for Christmas).
Anyway, why are the Americans getting it so much later in this age of electronic communication? I don't get it. I can see holding it back for the general public, but the fans who really want it badly should be able to purchase it before its official release, I think. Do the album club fans in the USA get their copy earlier?
Then there is the misleading wording in the email from Queen that I received today: "The brand new Queen + Paul Rodgers studio album is released today in the UK and the Rest Of The World." What is that supposed to mean? That we are now allowed to pre-order it? Or can we now download it? Because according to this Japanese company, we are not allowed to download it.
I realize I am too lazy to look these things up on my own, and besides, looking things up takes all the fun out of a good rant.

I think the reason for the delay is that Hollywood Records might actually try and promote this thing. Yes, yes... I know that sounds absurd.
Maybe they are going to tie the release to an announcement of a 2009 North American tour? It also puzzles me why the are starting to release the back cataloge on vinyl at the same time as TCR unless they were planning on promotion. Nevermind the fact that there is a Best Buy $119 ultimate fan pack of the album coming too.

It puzzles me why they aren't releasing the first album on vinyl. You don't reckon those vinyls are included in that Best Buy fan pack, do you? That would make a VERY odd box set, though.

i just bought it for 0,99 eurocent. Sounds amazing and it's a shame that they didn't put it on the album. Long track too, 5:30. Especially Roger sounds funny "why why why why"...
Very wonder song
Paul - good voice, Rog - very cool and fun "why, why, why" and nice solo from Bri...
Dave - thank you!!!
Who know - maybe this song was on christmas single? I hear bells in end of song
