Some of the new tracks remind me of older songs. I am interested in reading if people share my thoughts, or if I am a lonely crazy person:

Cosmos Rockin': Welcome To The Jungle / I'm Scared

Time To Shine: Machines (the melody, not the arrangements)

We Believe: We Are The World (similar melody during the very first verses) + resemblance to Chris Thompson's performance on the SAS Band's 1997 studio album (specially during "The Name Of The Game").

Warboys: The way it's sung makes me think in Smooth Criminal. A few bars of this song brings Rough Justice to my mind as well.

Call Me: Guitar solo reminds me of "Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon".

Voodoo: The Also Rans (only the rhyhtm during the first bars).

Some Things That Glitter: Apart from the "Butterfly" reference, some chord progressions make me think of "Why Don't We Try Again" and "I Guess We're Falling Out".

Through The Night: The way it starts reminds me the sound of Freddie's "Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow" early demos, specially because of the piano.

Surf's Up... School's Out!: As said by many others, I find a lot of Headlong, Love Token and No More Fun here. A specific section also reminds me to both It's A Beautiful Day (Reprise) and Track 13, if you know what I mean. but also the final chord reminds me of the Back To The Light album overture ("See the fur to keep you warm, softly round your tiny form").

Am I seeing things or someone else shares at least one thing about all this? :-)
Time To Shine sounds like a Toto song.
can't remember which sounds like a Mike & Th eMEchanic song - could be We Believe.
I totally agree with you about the guitar solo in Call Me. It certainly reminds me of Lazing On A sunday Afternoon (in a good way). It's A Beautiful Day Reprise also springs to mind when I hear the piano/guitar intro to Surf's Up...School's Out.
t.shirts.i noticed that but couldnt place the tunes.somewhere i heard track13 mih.and las palabras.strange
to me:
Cosmos Rocking - CLTCL, MOTP, Im scared

aN C-LEBRITY sound like something that could be on the miracle
:)
The Brian solo from Still Burnin remains me a guitar solo from an Aerosmith song, don't remember which one. (I think from the album Nine lives, Pink or Hole in my soul, I'm not sure).
A man who learnt how to teach, but forgot how to learn. A la grande le puse cuca!!
The "Palabras de Amor"-sounding song is the last part of We Believe
"YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH" - E. Cartman
Some of the drumming in "Still Burnin" sounds a bit like "We Will Rock You" ;) & that bonus track from iTunes, sounds a bit like that old Del Shannon song, oh, I forget what they call it!!! LOL!
Joyful the sound
For some reason, bits it We Believe remind me of the chords in 'You're the voice' by John Farnham
If there's a song that sounds like an old song than it's Cosmos Rocking being similar to Now I'm Here
"On the first day Pim & Niek created a heavenly occupation. Pim & Niek blessed it and named it 'Loosch'." (Genesis 1:1)
Oh and the whole feeling of Through the Night makes me think of Wilderness!
