I had to assume that the two Yes votes meant different kinds of Yes.
I went with the first Yes being Jake killing himself for his own good, and the 2nd one being for the benefit of everyone else.
In which case, I voted with the 2nd (less popular) Yes - I don't really think futile self-termination is worth anything, but sacrifice in the name of the greater good is something we should all be ready for (when the time comes!).
It's not a very nice thread, but it does get me thinking...
