As with most elections lately, we have to resort to picking the lesser of two evils. It would be naive to believe every word a presidential candidate tells us. It's up to us to consider who would do the least damage to our nation.

If I was elected, I'm sure I could fix the nations problems.
Seriously.
I'm smarter than all of our dumb politicians combined.
If I was elected: Here's what I'd do.
#1. Use the 700 Billion to help failing Banks. This includes the Investment banks on Wall Street. But I would not hand over the 700 Billion to these crooks. I'd start an investigation and send those guilty to jail.
#2. I'd temporarily lower taxes to a historic Low.
#3. I'd get rid of the Capital Gains Tax. FOREVER.
#4. I'd gradually but quickly remove our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. This nation has been bled dry on useless wars.
#5. I'd start a National Emergency Project to get Hydrogen Cars viable. Within Five Years.
#6. I'd encourage investment in hi-tech Companies in Renewable Energy / Batteries.
#7. I'd encourage free trade. No more restrictions to US Export in High Tech Goods unless they are bonafide Military secrets.
These initial points would help strengthen the Economy.
After achieving this, then I would go about to fixing the other Domestic problems.

After our economy recovers, and strengthens:
#1. Education. I'd think about how other countries provide free Education, even university levels like the Netherlands do.
#2. Our citizens should have Free Health Insurance. Sorry but it's a shame that the average citizen has to pay for their own health insurance. However, this policy would have certain restrictions. ie if you are obesely overweight, then you MUST enter into a weight reduction plan. The Govn't would HELP you to lose weight, but you MUST lose weight. Our nation is too fat, and this causes health problems.
#3. I'd create a Govn't Commision to overlook the Media / Entertainment. While I do believe in FREE PRESS, however, the Govn't has the responsiblity to make sure the MEDIA is TRUTHFUL, and encourages GOOD MORALS. Too many TV shows irresponsibly promotes negative behaviors.
This debate of Free Press vs State Press is very important. I think Absolute Free Press is just as damaging as State Press.
So the Govn't needs to create some kind of an Oversight commission to make sure that the Media does not abuse it's power.
#4. Peace for Foreign Policy. Our FP is too warhawkish. Why not try to make friends with the other nations? than wage war? PEACE would be MY FP. I'd try to make friends with ALL nations. I would not invade other countries either.
#5. Advancement of Science and Exploration. This country does not do enough to focus on Science. R&D. We need to explore the Universe. I'd make a Manned mission to Mars a Priority. We need to find other planets out there that can sustain Life.

What I don't understand is why the United States must create political divisions: why can't you just have two candidates, without a party to represent? All the parties seem to do is cause overzealous behavior in the party's followers. It is like a cult.
