I understand your frustration with the board. The anti-Q+PR threads are getting stale and redundant, the pro-Freddie hype is vexing, and overall, some people need to grow up and realise that not everyone wants to read their spam. The board does seem filled with a bunch of self-proclaimed omniscients who shoot down people for having an opinion that contradicts their own. It also seems to be full of people who lack a sense of maturity. That being said, I believe you are one in the latter group. Your Beatles thread was a particular signal of this: you started the thread up, calling the Beatles shit music, and refused to accept anyone else's ideas that the Beatles are better than Queen, so much so that you started a thread proclaiming: "I'm leaving Queenzone forever!" And yet here you are, only proving that you are as attention-seeking as the people who start hate threads.
Understand that this post wasn't intended to offend you. In fact, I intended for you to take this post as more of a constructive criticism: if you want QueenZone to improve, do not behave like the people on the board who you claim to hate. It's hypocritical, and if you aren't making yourself part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
At any rate, I don't think QueenZone can improve. People are entitled to their own free will, and nothing any of us say or do can stop them. Sure, Richard Orchard can block them, but how long will it take for trolls who like causing controversy and writing spam to create a new account? Not long at all.
But at the same time, I don't think I want QZ to improve. The fact that so many people get hived up at the start of a nonsensical thread amuses me, and I rather like the contributions of jokers like Zebonka and Fatty to these threads. Without the nonsense, there wouldn't be as much of an opportunity to see some funny posts now and again. It keeps things interesting and colorful. If we were all serious contributors, we would only hear the same regurgitation of old facts about Queen, which, until recently, hasn't been involved in much. If we all had the same opinion, it wouldn't open the door for any debate, which is the basic reason a forum is created: to express your opinion.
So, basically, what I'm trying to say is that QueenZone certainly needs to be improved in terms of how much spam is generated, and maybe the attitudes of its members need tweaking now and again; but what can we all do about it? Just try to enjoy the board instead of complaining about it.

The Beatles were not better than Queen. I must try to reason with you so that we can agree on that point. I take great objection to your opinion that the Beatles are in any way on the same level as Queen. They were not, and never will be.

Other than that, I agree with your statements.

We can all be hypocritical at times, even I. Let's examine your own profile. You state your occupation as "Being an Ass." In light of your declaration of occupation, may I jokingly state you do your job very well. haha. In all seriousness, there is nothing we can do however if we all make small changes to be more courteous, then the quality and mood of this board will greatly improve.

And these omniscients are in both sides of the front, half in the Mercury team half in the Rodgers team.

The problem is when some of these people take the insults too personally and start farting like crazy at everyone's direction.
