What is Love?
Love is a very strong emotional bond between two people that defies all explanation or comprehension. But when you LOVE someone, you know it, though you may not understand why.
I still don't understand why my GF loves me. And I am not sure why I love her but I know I would stop a bullet with my body for her.
She has guys hitting on her all the time. She's a major hottie. Yet she picked me. Why is that?
And as for me, I also sacrifice. I could be out there sowing my oats with many different women, yet I remain faithful and loyal to my beloved. Why is that?
Love is a very good thing. It makes us stronger. It makes us desire to be better human beings for the sake of our loved one. It makes us want to accomplish things not for ourselves, but for our loved one.
Love is a very powerful force. There is nothing stronger in the universe than Love. Love casts out all fear, all hatred. Love forgives all, and embraces with all purity.
Have you ever loved anyone?
If you do, then you must agree that Love is a very good thing. Without love in your life, you do not have much of a life.

How to understand whether you love or not? If you think about a person all the time, if you never forget about him/her, if you call a person every single day or every single hour then you do love. But mostly it is having a person on your mind all the time, not missing a day...

The emotion that you're currently experiencing in one of infatuation as opposed to love.
You state that you dont understand why you love this female. The simple answer is that you dont. You've just been lucky enough to stumble across a woman who is willing to endure your company for breif periods of time without the need of a financial transaction or a knife held at her throat.
You have also stated that you cannot understand why your girlfriend loves you and, I have to admit, I also find that rather perplexing. Assuming this girl actually exists in the first place, there are a number of reasons that she may have for entering into a relationship with someone like yourself. Perhaps she has lost a bet. Perhaps she is trying to infuriate her father. Perhaps she is trapped in a downward spiral of self loathing and needs to confirm her own worthlessness. Whatever the reason, it's highly unlikely that it has anything to do with love.
As for this particular girl being something of a "hottie", I would remind you that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You have on, numerous occasions, demonstrated that your judgement is more than a little skewed and whereas you may find her attractive, it's possible that those with a little more experience of the opposite sex think she looks like roadkill.
As for guys hitting on her all the time, this is something she needs to bring to the attention of the volunteers who work at the day care centre you both attend.
The noble sacrifices you have made in forsaking all others in favour of this girl are laughable to say the least. Rest assured that if it weren't for this unfortunate girl you would be back to wanking your balls flat.
