Reason for the - is that, while it's definitely clear and lossless *, the person didn't set his input level low enough, so there is some slight distortion clipping going on, noticeable from the start on the left channel moreso for the first few songs, and then seems to lessen throughout the show after the first few songs, though they still show up here and there. As I listen, "Last Horizon" has some very more-than-noticeable distortion clicking going throughout.

Still enjoyable, but you'll really notice the clicks when listening through headphones.

Also, there seems to be a slight lack of bass (wasn't thumping enough). Was the booter using bass roll-off? (That's generally something recommended NOT to be done!)

Thanks for sharing this btw! Nice to see a bootleg from the same show that "We Believe" was played for the first time :-)

Well, in fact it isn't lossless, it comes from Mini disc which is a lossy source. You can test the files with audiochecker, Traders Little Helper, or with frequency analysis and spectral views, it probably all will say the same, MPEG-sourced.  
But as the source itself is lossy, and we can't do anything about that (no human is responsible of that to cut short), we have here the best version from this specific source, so it can be traded. Of course no need to disguise a mp3 version of thi one as Flac, no need to lose even more information.

However, MiniDisc CAN be lossless if the booter uses the newer Hi-MD which uses PCM @ 44.1/16. I own such a unit actually, but to tell you the truth, they have been failing me twice already (thankfully on my own band's concerts, for which I have soundboard recordings only otherwise!.......rather than a bigger band's show!), and they are a fucking headache to work out compared to the easier Edirol R-09 / R-09HR units (I own one of the former, and plan to get the latter for next year...).



Out of the 5 shows I've booted aside from recording my band's own shows, I've only used the Hi-MD unit at one show - Roger Waters (Edmonton, AB, Canada - should be available in a matrix'd bootleg titled "Two Loonies Are Better Than One", otherwise my own recording is titled "Comfortably Edmonton").

Yep, nice to precise that thing about the Hi-MD, it's good to know that. The show here is lossy if I remember well the frequency analysis.
So, Hi-MD could be a good option for recording the shows too ! Even if I prefer avoiding the Minidisc format, that can give good results too !

Again, I don't recommend Hi-MD though. I forgot to mention I've had to replace a disc or two that's failed on me in a short time already! (Corrupted somehow...?!)

Edirols are the way to go, especially if you're starting out. They're a lot easier to use. With the new R-09HR model out for some time now, I would not be surprised if the older R-09 models are already dropping in price slightly.
