Can The Cosmos Rocks' be classed as a Queen album? Ok it says Queen on the cover but is it really a Queen album? When other bands change members they still release albums under the band name. Oh who cares, the album is shit and it's not a Queen album, why do I lie awake at night thinking of these things...........
Cause you tried desperately and thought to yourself.... NO NO.... i just...i just.... i must have MISSED something!! For SURE it has greatness... it's QUEEN... (bri + Rog)... and you found yourself desperately cheering and looking a fool at yourself...
So you pulled it off the shelf and said to yourself... "i know these guys".... "They fucking rock.".... "they're incredible"...
..."maybe i was in ...in a bad mood when i first heard it".
So you found yourself trying desperately to like it.... pretend everything was ALL RIGHT NOW.
As if you had been invited to your girlfriends family dinner...and had to sit through 4 hours of talk at the table with her sister with a botched horrible obsessive plastic surgery job.
You kept thinking.... If only catface over here would find a bird,.... i could stop looking at those god awful puffy lips.... did someone punch her in the face?
what happened!!
Yet you challenged yourself to try to believe it... Suspension of disbelief... like being in a movie..
I've yet to try getting drunk to the album...
But i TOO know your pain.
The album really isn't that good.
And we tried.
And we all cried a little inside.
We tried.
(the tour wasn't bad though)....
Ha ha ha ha brilliant mate, summed it up so much better that I could. I have got drunk and listened to the album (although thinking back I might have got drunk BECAUSE I was listening to the Album)
You are 100% right in that I tried so hard to like the album because of Bri and Rog. I do like a lot of their solo stuff but there is something about this album that just doesn't do anything for me.
The tour was very good but what does it tell you when the biggest cheer of the night was when we heard a recording of Freddie singing Bijou...The show I saw actually opened with Surf's Up.........Schools Out, who's bright idea was that?? At least after that it could only get better.......
