Jake seems intelligent and creative to me.  That is not the problem.  The problem is that Jake is anti-social.  He doesn't care if he hurts others, and in fact he seems to be using his creative energies to do just that.

When he's not making a curious prat of himself, he CAN be rather creative, and at times once in a while comes up with rather brilliant suggestions & ideas, and I do admit his memory is at times creepingly more detailed about past posters and events on QZ than some of us can claim to (does he keep a Harry Potter-sized diary?? He needs to try and look at how his actions are pissing off people here, and he has to try and look at it from an outsider's perspective, much akin to how I look at things with my band, both as a member and as a 'casual listener' (I know I'm comparing apples and oranges here, but you get the point)[br]It's amazing what something like that can do to change a person, for the better![br][br]I'm not surprised fatty's been ripping at him so much lately though.[br]With Jake being a father, there was a lot of us that'd hoped he changed for the better, but there have been quite a few times in the last months he's been re-enacting his childish behaviour that was no different than as far back as 2002/2004 (I can't remember when he joined at first). And I've been caught rather annoying in some of his petty behaviour, with arguments I really feel should not be happening in the first place, yet he does make grand claims about certain people and tries to carry it over and over again ad nauseum.[br]And his blog does raise eyebrows too. He's a rather random character in strange ways.[br]

I don't think it is something that Jake will grow out of.  So, if you are noticing that his personality has not changed (he has not matured) since age 14 or 15, it is maybe due to his personality disorder.  I'm not a psychologist or psychiatrist, but it seems pretty clear to me that Jake has a problem other than anxiety.  It wouldn't surprise me if Jake has already been diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder (see description below).  But you wouldn't be able to trust what he tells you about it here.  He has said that his mother and girlfriend monitor his internet activity.  I don't know if that is true, but if it is, it would not be normal behavior in a family with no problems, would it?[br][br]Antisocial Personality Disorder.  [br][br]From Psychology Today:[br][br]Symptoms [br][br]Disregard for society's laws [br]Violation of the physical or emotional rights of others [br]Lack of stability in job and home life [br]Lack of remorse [br]Superficial wit and charm [br]Recklessness, impulsivity [br]A childhood diagnosis (or symptoms consistent with) conduct disorder[br][br]Diagnosis is given to those over 18 years of age. He'll play nice to you, even after previous rifts, and turn around & let the beast rear it's monstrous head.[br]

Interacting with Jake is a risk if you are the sensitive type, I think.  Life lessons learned, eh?

That's not searching for this though. That's to make sure I don't look at porn. Jessica said looking naked photos of women is wrong when you're in a relationship. I do it anyway. She got too jealous before and wouldn't let me talk to many people. Once when she came home, I had another lady in my house, but she was just a friend and I didn't do anything with her. She was so pissed off. I think she lets me look at nude photos now, because it's better than if I went out and cheated on her or something. Even though I'd never cheat on her. She just hates the lady I had over.
