Hi, people! I hope you're all doing fine. Does any of you guys enjoy growing and taking care of plants and flowers and, eventually, talking to them? I do, a lot. But here's the problem, and I promise the post will be very short. It's the third time I buy a carnation (here it's called "cravo") and I always fail to get the flowers to blossom. The plant dies and it never grows up like it should! I don't know what am I doing wrong.

If someone is interested in these things, and has some experience with it, I'd be glad to read some tips and advices.

Take care you all, and have a nice wednesday!

Hmm...  let's see how long it takes this thread to go to pot... literally.
I thought this was about marijuana.

Hi Yara. Its Brian from Scotland here(Roger Meadow's tailor)

I know that carnations are in general quite pernickity plants. Some like a lot of light. Some dont. But it sounds to me like a feeding problem. You might be over or under feeding them,I'd need to see what you're doing with them.

How is your music coming on my friend?I'd love to hear from you again.

I'm sick of all my kicks.
Possibly the minute you start talking to them they lose the will to live, I know I would.

I love plants, especially bonsais. They're cute. I don't talk to them though...but they seem to grow better if you do

Hi!!! How are you doing? I liked your avatar! I'm doing great. I pm you about the music. :) Thanks for asking and for replying to the question.

I think I killed some of them already. It's just that it doesn't work. First, I thought they shouldn't receive much light, so I kept them almost hidden, so to speak. Then, as I noticed that it hadn't worked at all, and after I had bought a new one!, I decided to put it on the balcony for some five or six hours and then I would get it back to the inside, as the lady who sold me the plant couldn't tell me if it "liked" light or not.

It didn't work either.

My last chance is exposing this new one the whole day, even if it rains.

I put it in a flowerpot and there's a plate underneath it to drain the excess of water.

Could it be that I'm not giving it enough water? I do it, like, four times a day, one tea cup each time.

Ah, and the flowerpot is made out of plastic...it's not terra cota or something like that. As for the soil, I just grabbed some in a garden. :op

Thanks again!!!

Haha. Funny the King Mercury avatar, I liked it.

:-)) Fare thee well!
Yara
My house plant is also my best friend.  I talk to it every day, we have a really deep relationship.

I have a bird's nest in my goddamn armpits. The the birds left some birdseed in it, and plants have begun to sprout so now I use a deodorant with fertilizer. [/img]
