Considering both Cozy Powell and George Harrison are dead I think there's a better chance of Freddie touring with them than John!

He died about 6 years ago of heart failure in Las Vegas, with a stripper in one arm and a bottle of wine in another. In other words, he died living the ultimate rock star dream.

That's disputable. Entwistle had done coke years ago, during the 80s, but it's not confirmed when he stopped. At the very least, the traces of coke that had been found in his system might have been years old. Again, he might've been doing coke that night, and so what? Freddie snorted coke for a good portion of the late 70s and 80s, and many other rock stars did it, do it, and will do it. Fact of life.
But Daltrey admitted that he noticed the Ox wasn't looking very healthy during the last rehearsals, and, as anyone who knew John would tell you, he lived to play live – much more so than he liked being in the studio – so it was obvious that he was looking forward to that tour. It was just a case of bad timing, is all.
(I say that not to jump down your throat, but just to clarify, I guess!)

[/QUOTE] This is a quote from those days in 2001
A coroner has confirmed that cocaine killed John Entwistle, saying the drug stopped The Who's bass player's heart.
Entwistle was found dead in his room at a hotel in Las Vegas last June. He was 57.
The coroner says he didn't find a "huge amount" of coke in Entwistle's system, but he says it was enough to hurt someone with heart disease.
This ruling backs up a California coroner, who ruled earlier that Entwistle died from a combination of cocaine and heart disease.
It looks like we are both right about the fact that he wasn't looking healthy also. I know John was living for playing live he is one of my absolute heroes next to every Who record I have all his solo albums. It's just not wise to combine coke with medication. And about coke been there done it left it :-) Want to stay healthy :-)

You guys are dicks, can't you give the man some decent information?!
So...
WhoBeQ was to be a project like 3G, featuring a skeleton lineup plus a la carte guests. They had one show in Vegas, then dismantled as Harrison's health deteriorated. They had Ravi Shankar play sitar on that one, which was very cool.
The bootleg of the show is available under the title "What Happens in Vegas" and is worth grabbing if you can find it on a lonely DC hub. As a public service, I'm attaching "Back From a Holiday" from the show. The sitar is by Ravi Shankar and keyboards by Spike Edney. Horns by Entwistle from the original lineup.
