It seems a Massachusetts man is either livin’ on a prayer, or perhaps has taken some bad medicine. In court documents filed late last week, a musician named Bart Steele launched a $400 billion lawsuit against Bon Jovi, alleging the band copied lyrics from a 2004 song of his titled “(Man I Really) Love This Team.”

Steele alleges that Jon Bon Jovi heard the original song ? which was used as an anthem for the Boston Red Sox ? while campaigning for presidential candidate John Kerry in 2004. As reported by antimusic.com, Steele calls the Bon Jovi hit “I Love This Town” (which was later used as a promotional track for Major League Baseball) an “unauthorized derivative version” of his original composition.

The suit went on to stipulate the following: “As intent will be easy to prove, we are seeking the statutorily authorized amount of $100,000 per CD sold. Just under four million CDs have been sold to date. This totals almost $400 billion.”

A host of other entities are listed as co-defendents in the suit, among them Turner Broadcasting System, Time-Warner and Major League Baseball.

To reiterate the disclaimer noted by antimusic.com, the allegations have yet to be proven in court and no admission of guilt has been made by any parties accused of wrongdoing. ?Russell Hall

Bon Jovi's lyrics are so god damn predictable. Horrible songs, most of them. They get worse with each album. SUE THEM BASTIDS!
"Please buy my upcoming album... I need the money"
Read that a few days ago, hilariously stupid.

I'm sick of all my kicks.
Well at least he tried. If your granpa was/is a musician and if he ever wrote a song with the words "I love you", he should try something like this with all these love songs that keep using his (original) words.

We love you Mandy!
Blaze Of Glory, although being a solo effort, is quite impressive. The song I mean. In fact, I dig it.
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."
This is so laughable.

MUWHAHWAHWHAHWHAHWHAHWHAHWHAHWHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA.

I don't think this is so absurd.

We could try and persuade the judge that the only alternative to Bon Jovi paying the $400 billion that Bon Jovi doesn't have, is of course Bon Jovi going to jail for six million years.   And never writing, recording or releasing another piece of shit song ever, for the rest of history until the end of time.

Fuck, that sounds like a plan.  Fuck you Bon Jovi, fuck your stupid Lost Highway.

Tell me there's a God in Heaven.
Roy Orbison? Heart attack
John Lennon? Bullets
Carl Anderson? Leukemia
Bon Scott? Vomit

BON JOVI?  Still here, still a steaming pile of camel cum.  If he were burning to death, I might piss on him, but it'd be less in the name of firefighting and more as an excuse to piss on the stupid son of a bitch.

PS. Peace and Love.

Wow, Rick!  Gotta agree with you.  It's probably one of the only songs of his I really care about...

...unless there's an on-line poll with him in it.
