"FREDDIE (MERCURY) was a huge PAUL RODGERS fan, (he) absolutely adored his voice. He was a different animal, but he would have loved to be able to sing like that." BRIAN MAY insists late rocker Mercury would have approved of QUEEN's replacement for him.

They didn't really replace Freddie! They just moved on. Nobody could ever replace him and I don't think anyone would want to try.
All we need is one world wide vision!!!!

Yeah! Because of course you knew Freddie much better than Brian!

So lets recap. Some of you think
a) Bri's telling porkies
b) Because you never read or heard this in an interview it cant be true

Fark. You people are delusional!
I believe him.
I don't know why you all act like you personally knew Freddie.
i'm bored...

Freddie sucked at singing the blues. He was an awesome vocalist, but his blues singing was a joke. "See What a Fool I've Been" is exhibit A. The middle part of "All Gods People" is exhibit B. I don't think it's a stretch for him to envy Rodgers ability to sing the blues - especially since Freddie could sing just about any other style..

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????

Freddie was great at singing blues, but then again that's my opinion ;)

I love See What A Fool I've Been, it just took some more listening to like it.  I also like that part in All God's People!  My Melancholy Blues proves he has a good blues voice also.
Freddie also was really bluesy on Dreamers Ball. Just my 2 cents.
Freddie Mercury admiring Paul Rodgers is like Brian May admiring me. It's just not possible.
