I didn't have a sweepstake going on this guy unfortunately, I guess there's some things you can't joke about.

RIP Mitch Mitchell, he was 61.  My brother doesn't know it yet but our next international collaboration video will be a tribute to him.  Ha-ha!

What a guy, still one of my favourite drummers.
One would have to call Mr. Mitchell one of the pioneers of hard rock. May he rest in peace.
This is my small tribute for Mitchell. I love this version of Yer Blues, and it has the best musicians of the world for that moment IMO, still my favourites. PS: I didn't know this but this is reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally cool and this is the beginning of a different use for Qzone :P

Another legend has passed...
Very great and very important drummer.
Repect, may he rest in peace.
I was in the sweepstake! I saw him on tv at the UK R&RHOF about 2/3 years ago with Slash, inducting Jimi and he looked dead then!

Nevertheless....RIP.
Chom own mudder fukker.
RIP Mitch, what a great drummer!

Love that version of Yer Blues!

I found out earlier...

I'm still in shock...

He was a legend, to me anyway.

He's up there now with Hendrix and the rest....

God, I love him so much! :(

He was the power engine with Hendrix as the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

I respect him hugely.

R.I.P Mitch.

I was pissed off. I told my friend today because he loves Jimi Hendrix and he was like, awwww. that sucks.
At least him and the rest of the band can finally play together again.
RIP Mitch Mitchell.
btw, i love Bri's soapbox on Mitch :D

When my English teacher told me last night that MM was gone, that was the first thing that crossed my mind. :(
We got the Cosmos rockin'! We got the Cosmos rockin'! We got the Universe rockin'! We got the Cosmos rockin'! We got the Cosmos rockin' to the mighty power of rock'n'roll!
Finally the jimi hendrix experience are back together again, maybe having a concert in heaven, what a great time they must be having, and freddie being able of witnessing his heroes once again and forever
God bless such a gifted trio, rock on!
:)
It's pretty fucked to think that they're all gone now.  Even Buddy Miles from the Band of Gypsys died not so long ago, if I'm not mistaken?  True enough they had their time in the sun and we're lucky to have enjoyed their music, but it's a poorer place for their absence.

That's what I think, anyway.
