I wanted to know what the top 10 films everyone likes. Around here, the only English films that are popular are the hyped-up and lame ones. "The Da Vinci Code", despite being a blockbuster, went pretty much unnoticed and unpromoted in India.

1. Jack Nicholson - I think he's the most versatile actor there ever was... From McMurphy in "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" to "The Joker" in Tim Burton's Batman through Melvin Udall in "As Good As It Gets", he never got old...
2. Dustin Hoffman - I think he's just as good as Jack Nicholson as an actor but he's not as versatile. Loved him in every movie since "The Graduate".
3. Paul Newman("Fast Eddie Felson") RIP..he had everything; brains, good looks and a generous heart...perhaps the most admirable person on this list.
4. Marlon Brando... RIP...I can't say much else here because we all know him. He's the only "famous" guy I've ever met, as he was a friend of my father. I wasn't really interested in his movies until his death... He was really versatile..."Last Tango in Paris" was one of the most shocking films I'd ever seen...
5. Peter Sellers... Dr. Stranglelove...'nuff said...
6. Gregory Peck - Atticus Finch for President!
7. Tom Hanks

Johnny Depp/Heath Ledger - Everyone loves Johnny Depp but the thing about Heath Ledger is, a lot of us were skeptical about his talents until we saw "The Dark Knight" and even then some of us felt biased as it was his last performance. But the fact stands that he was a very talented character actor.
9. Robert De Niro - Loved him in everything since Taxi Driver.
10. Anthony Hopkins - His performance in the Hannibal movies got me interested in the novels.

OMG! One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is my favorite film... haha, once I watched it over and over again for like three weeks straight, since the DVD plays it over and over, and I kept watching. I feel like locking myself in a mental institution just to hang around with the weirdo's in there, but I'm afraid I'd feel too confined and cause trouble and end up not being able to get out! LoL.
Also, Jack Nicholson is my favorite actor... his films are my favorites really... The Shining, Something's Gotta Give, Anger Management, About Schmidt, As Good As It Gets, The Crossing Guard, Bucket List, and a Few Good Men... I gotta buy a lot more of the films he is in. The guy is in great shape for his age.

Yeah, Jack Nicholson's my favourite actor and "One Flew Over..." is also my favourite film. I don't think anyone will ever get close to him in talent. The Shining is the only horror film that's ever scared me because for some odd reason even "The Ring" and other infamously "scary" movies barely shock me. Maybe it's simply because Kubrick + Nicholson = Lethal combination. If you haven't seen them already, you should really see Chinatown and The Last Detail. And goddamnit, I loved The Bucket List. With Morgan Freeman with him, it reminded me a lot of "The Shawshank Redemption".
Another great actor and a favorite of mine is Robert Redford. God knows why I forgot to include him... :(

Yeah, Jack Nicholson's my favourite actor and "One Flew Over..." is also my favourite film. I don't think anyone will ever get close to him in talent. The Shining is the only horror film that's ever scared me because for some odd reason even "The Ring" and other infamously "scary" movies barely shock me. Maybe it's simply because Kubrick + Nicholson = Lethal combination. If you haven't seen them already, you should really see Chinatown and The Last Detail. And goddamnit, I loved The Bucket List. With Morgan Freeman with him, it reminded me a lot of "The Shawshank Redemption".
Another great actor and a favorite of mine is Robert Redford. God knows why I forgot to include him... :(
