Hi Folks,
On the album version of Say It's Not True, you obviously have Roger, Brian and Paul singing (in that order). But then my girlfriend told me that she thought the last 'It could be happening" at the end of the song sounded a lot like Brian.
I never paid much attention to it before, but every time I hear the song it starts to sound more and more like Brian.
What do you think?
It certainly has the intonation and accent of Brian, but my logic says it would be weird to have Brian sing 4 words at the end of the song.. Now it's normal to have weird things in Queen songs, so I'm not surprised if it actually IS Brian.
What's your opinion?

I paid attention to the final line, and I see your point... But the "meeeee" gives it away, it was Paul singing.
Just to make sure, you could check out some live versions on YouTube and compare them with the album version.

no shadow of a doubt it is paul
I have to agree with you - it sounds very much like Brian, although the "To me-e-e-e-e--eeeee" is def Paul. In the same track, doesn't the "But, er" in response to "They may say I'm dumb" sounds like BM too?
Ofcourse the 'to meeeee" is Paul. I was just talking about the "it could be happening'
I'll listen to the " But uh" now

Apologies for my senior moment - of course I meant the "but, er" from C-lebrity, not SINT
Hope this does not offend too many peeps - but in a similar way - the most "Mercury-esque" line sung on the Q&PR album for me is during the middle-8 type section of 'Surf's Up School's Out'.........."Got to follow your dreams." When I listen to that line it sounds very near a Mercury vocal.
Ok I'll batten down the hatches!

I have the same feeling when I listened to that part!!!!! (middle 8 of Surf´s...) it´s true, you can even see Freddie singing that verse in a studio, eyes closed and his face looking to the sky... great!, favourite part of the whole album for me... is amazing.

It eerily sounds a lot like Brian on that bit, but I'd think that by logic it's Paul Rodgering that bit (would it make sense of Brain to jump in at that point?). However, the "it could be happening" bit sounds like an audio copy/paste bit, you know something from a different take. Or atleast it sounds a bit "off" to my ears in terms of phrasing, compared to the rest of that portion, then again the entire song sounds "off" with it's drained-in-pitch-correction-and-effects-style of vocals to my precious ears.
