And that's one in a city in Russia, in which groundwater managed to seep into the foundations and made all sorts of little pools and streams and such within the structure. . . I find it marvellous. :D
Does anybody else round here like to look at and/or photograph abandoned houses, buildings etc? I'd thought that I was the only one for a while and that it was just some stupid fascination I had, but then I found this:

Some of the photographs are amazing. Unfortunately in order to photograph such places myself I'd need a car with which to drive around, and I can't even drive. So I suppose I'll have to wait a few years. xD

The ones on the first link were more interesting, to me. But the pics I most loved (well, considering pics of abandoned places) were some pics of Chernobyl as it is nowadays.
I, too, would love to travel on some places like that taking pictures, it must be quite amazing. Maybe in a few years, who knows?

Funny, I too have this fascination for abandoned buildings, and I also thought I was the only one around here. Beautiful pictures on the links, thanks! How fascinating and atmospheric it would be to wander around in those places armed with a camera.

I love to look at abandoned/haunted houses! Those pictures were amazing. I knew I wasn't alone, but I never bothered to ask if anyone else had the same fixation... xD
We had this amazing abandoned house near my school in Brazil, this brings back memories of me trying to see through the steel gates. The yard was huge and the house was tiny, but you could still make out a heavy dust coat on the window... The place was rotting away, it was great.

I also can't visit such places myself, I can't drive a car yet...But I'd just love to visit such places more often than I do now, I don't even know if there are many close to where I live. There are some really interesting Chernobyl documentaries on youtube.
I have no idea why the quotes are so full of empty spaces, but most times I try to remove them, or try to erase some sentences so that I can quote only one sentence, it looks fucked up. :\ The white box disappears, and the quote gets mixed with my own text.
