Anyone?

Every fucking thread the exact same, every time he comes back too. You can only read so much Masses Vs Minority, or your ego is bigger than my ego, give us older...

BORING!!!

Same outcome too!!!

Anyone got some decent Queen chat?
Instead of complaining about it, why not actually start a decent Queen discussion?

em... I made a point, then asked if anyone had any chat other than the repetitive Queen Archivist threads that were going round in circles.

If I had something Queen related to chat about do you think I'd ask?

Merry Xmas.
He He.. just peaked at your profile... just seen Yara in your buddies list... not surprised... found it strange that I'd never chatted with you before and all of a sudden your having a wee dig... God Bless!

Why don't we chat about Queen in the realms of musicology and philosophy?
Fair enough, but it's ineffective to start threads sparked by the very threads that aggravate you.  Eventually, without your help, the QUEEN ARCHIVIST will get bored and be gone for quite a while.  It's a typical cycle on Queenzone.  I may not visit everyday, but I've been a member long enough to comprehend this repetitive progression.  For what it's worth, if you wanted to make a difference, I suggest keeping your mouth shut until you have something of relevance and interest to discuss.  Otherwise, you would only be wasting your own time.  I apologize if I come accross as being pretentious and/or mean -- I just say it like it is sometimes.  I have nothing against you --  afterall, we both share a distaste for the alleged archivist of Queen.  ;)

If you wish to discuss Queen in the realms of musicology and philosophy I'm interested.  We could discuss Freddie Mercury's personality in terms of existentialism versus determinism.  Existentialism is the idea that we are all free to make decisions that have not been affected by our influences and actions.  For example, it was very existential for Freddie to carry on after he found out his death was inevitably soon.  He could have curled up into a ball and felt bad for himself, but he didn't.  Determinism, on the other hand, is the idea that we are all predetermined by our influences and actions.  I have never affiliated the man with the latter, because, in my opinion, the man was too strong and opinionated to accept fate.  I guess the question is this...where would you place him on a scale between existential and deterministic?

Musically speaking, we could discuss their usage of chord progressions and the relation of those progressions to other musicians and styles of music.  That would take a bit of research, but if you're willing, by all means, take me up on the offer!  I predict that their chord progressions might be similar to those found in the baroque era (Procession).  We would also find that their melodies and progression, especially harmony, would carry very well into the orchestral realm of music (for example, The Queen Symphony).  I have always felt that Queen were not your typical rock band -- they were an adventurous crew of musicians who were quite diverse and ambitious.

I hope you had a very merry christmas and that the new year is joyous for you!
