Are the sour grapes really because he did not share anything new, or is it because he shared contrary to unofficial rules imposed by the overbearing majority?[/QUOTE]
I'd share an upgrade of a show from a new tape, and he'd respond with something like "same old shows, boring"
He's an absolute twat. And he didn't contribute anything new. He passed along things that were already long in circulation.

As someone who collects Elton John recordings, ANY upgrade (no matter how slight) of an already circulating show is always worth it. Believe me, there were at least EIGHT circulating versions of a show from Elton's 1984 tour, and I finally found the master tape source not too long ago. The best sounding version before the master was a 3rd generation tape that sounded great--but the master sounded terrific. Even though the improvement in quality wasn't the biggest--everybody loved it.

There's nothing "wink wink" about it. What's your issue?

On top of that, he's never shared anything (as far as I can recall) in FLAC, and had quite the ignorant attitude towards it as well.

I for one Bob, appreciate all that you have done, with the "upgrades/multi sourced mixes/ remastered" versions. Anything that makes recordings that are already out in circulation, better/more complete is a blessing.
It's just sour grapes from Mr Tiger.

He had the audacity to share mp3's on a site that allows mp3 sharing. Why should he share something new when all he gets are insults?
There are a few inner circle sharers that have bluffed that they would never share again. Are they twats too? ... or just former twats?

Oh bloody hell, this again?
He can keep his stupid tape if he needs to appease his ego.
What part of "he didn't contribute anything new" do you not understand? Adding mp3s to the trade pool only pollutes it. If someone puts in great effort to track down an old tape, they're going to transfer it with great care and ensure no quality is lost.
This has nothing to do with rules. It has everything to do with not drawing a red moustache on a Picasso despite the fact that there aren't any laws against it.
If it's Queenzone he doesn't like, then he could've shared it elsewhere. There are plenty of tape trading communities that'd be happy to have a new 30+ year old tape of any major band.
He's a dick, and he doesn't have the tape, full stop. If he wants to contribute, he'd find a way, not resort to convenient excuses.
End of.
Move on.
You haven't contributed anything new to this place, either. Why in the world would you stick up for this idiot instead of the people who are directly responsible for giving you the collection of old recordings you have accumulated?

I did not resurrect this 4 year old topic to insult Tiger.
