Are these the woods that Brian used for the RS?

Im planning on builiding my own Red Special, but I can't get accurately the woods that Brian used. I've found a lot of sites with information about the body and the neck, but everyone of the them say different things, so I dunno which one believe. Does any one know the actual woods that brian used?

I tend to believe this one a little bit, I see it a little more serius.

But it doesn't say anything about the fretboard, I've read somewhere that it's ebony, Am I right??

Fretboard is definitely not ebony. Cant say for sure what it is, but would assume oak same as the neck.

The ebony fretboard applies only to the Guild, Burns and BHM models.  The original Red Special does not have an ebony fretboard.

The neck is not oak.  The neck was made out of a 200 year old fireplace.  Brian's guitar is also known as The Fireplace for this reason

Neck is made of Mahogany (the old fireplace). fretboard could be oak, not sure. The rest you have is pretty much right. Blockboard and Oak are the main types for the body.

I've decided to give it a try as well. Hoping to start with the design somewhere next month. I already have the electronics working. with some old stratocaster pickups. Still have to find a cheap deal for the trisonic Pickups Brian uses.

No, the body was blockboard with mahogany veneer, maybe with an oak core for more strength.
