He was hooked ( no pun intended) on golf a few years ago, and was seen backstage as a guest with his wife at various open air concerts around the time of Live 8, also as a paying member of the audience at We will Rock You. Roger has said more than once that after the tribute concert John found performing live too stressful, and that he hates/hated to be around a lot of people. Let's hope he is happy and peaceful wherever he is and in what he does.

Yes, that must be the answer to the question. The simple thing is that John feels rather old unlike Brian and Roger. He can`t stand any more live performances. He doesn`t have enough stamina any more. Which is absolutely natural and normal. Nevertheless we love him!!!

Yes, that must be the answer to the question. The simple thing is that John feels rather old unlike Brian and Roger. He can`t stand any more live performances. He doesn`t have enough stamina any more. Which is absolutely natural and normal. Nevertheless we love him!!!
I was fortunate enough to meet John once, at the Royal Albert hall concert he did with Brian and all the other famous people at the Princes trust concert. John did stand at the back of the stage most of the night. I met him after the show as he walked out. He asked my friend and I to quietly follow him away from the crowds where signed my Biggles single. I remember asking him how the recording of the new album (The Miracle I think) was going. He said it was going well, he was polite and softly spoken and he just quickly walked off into the night, probably to his own car. I think Roger and Brian made a few 'boy band' mistakes after Freddie died, without direction they kind of just said yes to any offers they got. If they'd hooked up with someone like Paul Rodgers right away John may still have been around. It didn't help that No One But You wasn't a real hit either.

On the other hands, NOT showing up was *the* guaranteed way of getting more attention than Roger and Brian.

I wouldn't be so sure that it's a matter of him not having enough stamina to tour anymore. It's possible that he's tired of doing it though, he's been around the world w/ Queen how many times? Touring is a pretty substantial part of the business in that its how a band really makes it's money.

Being tired means not having enough strength, stamina and endurance to tour. There`s no contradiction between my post and yours.
