Who listened to this album already?

I just pre-order the Special Edition but I haven't gotten it yet.

I did. It almost made me cry (in the bad sense). Like the world needed more slick disco crap.

I love it. They reinvented themselves.

Poor Raf...so young, and already lost to the Dark Side of Disco.

But seriously, the first album was good, the second was uninspired and this rag is awful.

I wouldn't say the second album was "uninspired". There are more crap songs on it than on the previous one, but the best songs from the second album beat the crap out of the best songs from the first one.

And I'm not a disco fan or anything, I usually dislike that kind of music... But this album does sound interesting and different. I was expecting something really bad when I heard it was more electronic and dance-ish. I probably won't listen to it half as often as I listen to the previous albums, but I do think it's very good.

I liked the second album the most.

I can't wait to get my hands on their latest.

I've never been into Franz Ferdinand.

Never gave them a chance to impress me.

Sorry Raf
I didn't know you had started another thread yet.

Based on the audio samples I listened to, it's indeed more synth oriented than the first two, but in all honesty I never thought that it was too pop, disco, or funk oriented. Maybe just a tiny bit, but good enough to not ruin it.

I'm glad that they tried something new, and perhaps I would not want them to try the same thing on the next record, but for now it's good to me.

After two awesome albums this is their defining moment. Love it!
We love you Mandy!

Audio samples, Dan? I'd advise you to listen to the full album on their MySpace page... ;)

But since you've already ordered it, maybe you'd like to wait until it gets to your house.

Ah, and the album version of Lucid Dreams is much different from the single version. The single version is rock oriented, the album version... Well... The last 3 minutes from the song say it all.

Yeah, Bubu sent me the album.

So far I've listened to it once. It's cool.
