Thanks but this is a SVCD sourced video, not real DVD.

Here is a torrent shared by YV past year, maybe she or someone would be able to re-seed, I really recommend you to get that one ;-)

Thank you for correcting me Mr Solan. I have edited the initial post to rectify the lineage.
My apologies for the incorrect source info; I had pasted it from the site where I downloaded the video from.

I even thought of deleting the links because I seriously believe that the stuff that we share and distribute should essentially be the best possible quality available, nothing less. However the general sentiment in the YV torrent thread seems to be that the audio/video quality is more or less the same.

I cannot use torrents and I know for a fact that I'm not alone : ) So if some one could be so kind as to upload YV's version on to RS / MU/Mediafire that would be great.

I think not.

It does not come from a 2nd or 3rd gen VHS tape but it comes from VHS. The
slightly "blurry" picture comes from the Japanese TV, we also have that
on the "Jewels" DVD. I don't know why that is but we used to have it on
old US TV productions (pre 1980), too.The 2 GB come from the file length, it's only 32 minutes, 2 GB are normal.

What I meant was that people who have both YV's VHSrip version and the SVCD sourced version have found very little difference in the quality of the picture.

Sadly, not an upgrade.
It's the same common (blurry) version around re-encoded and with simulated stereo sound, that's the reason for 2GB.

not realy... The difference is quite hard to notice. In some parts the new version (2GB) is less "blocky" than the previous one. If you watch both of them on TV, you will not (almost) see the difference. The sound is also quite similar, so if you have low speed Internet connection it is not worth to download (IMO).
Mind you, I'm not disputing that YV's version is superior quality. All I'm saying is that evidently the difference is hard to tell for the viewer.

For the sake of avoiding the debate on lossless/lossy, let me just say that I'll remove the links as soon as VY's version gets shared on RS.

Wish you a happy weekend,
P Nair.

Many thanks for this. Fantastic DVD. This tour was my first time seeing queen (was it not called the Crazy tour BTW?). Teo Torriate is something special.

You're welcome Zodiacal_light. You got to see Queen live! Incredible man! Why don't you go ahead and share the experience with us please?

One more thing - did you download the RS links or the single link? I got a PM from one of the members that the password for the RS download may not be working.

Thanks!

I used the RS links above and the password worked fine.

As for sharing stuff from Queen gigs, if you mean recordings, i'm afraid i dont have any, sorry. All i have is some 35mm pictures from Maine Road Manchester in 1986

I was actually hoping you could describe the experience of being there at the concert - any special memories, anecdotes, highlights, etc. You see, many of us never got the opportunity to watch Queen (or QPR) live in real life, and I personally enjoy listening to other people who are fortunate enough to attaend a Queen concert.

Just thought of bumping this...the rapidshare links are dead but the single-link fileflyer download is still active.
