I would love to have the Hectics material released - even if it is in bad quality...

Africa by night. LOL That was a Demo of a Freddie and Montsy track, right? I thought that was just an earlier name for Barcelona?
The Hectics? Dream on!
There have been rumours for years about those recordings, i can tell you that i have some samples of them from a collector, BUT you can barely make out who is who. lol. Not worth even listening to, not as good of quality as say Reaction, but oh well.
I heard a few times from a source that Freddie and Peter Straker done a few songs together for Peter's 'This One's On Me' album that have never seen the light of day. I wish i could confirm this but my source won't let me hear them not alone trade them, so who knows!? Also, what about the Demos for Sheer Heart Attack? I heard there were about 4 more that haven't been out there?? Anyone?
Btw, who cares about State Of Shock? This demo has been available in 2 versions for many of years now, maybe you meant to say Victory?? Which btw is crap, only 1:30 exists that i am aware of, unless someone can prove that wrong?

There has NEVER been an earlier name for "Barcelona". "Africa By Night" is a demo that later was reworked and released under the name "All God's People" from a certain 14th studio album by a band called Queen.
I'm not what you would call a "serious" collector and even I know that.
And the fact that you didn't know any of the above makes me question everything else you wrote. Sorry.

Yes i understand that, but i meant that it was an earlier name for what would have been on Barcelona, excuse me, it was early in the morning for me. And the way he stated was that it was a Queen song, which it was not.

But it wasn't an early name for Barcelona.
In '88, Freddie and Mike Moran wrote 'Africa By Night' but didn't have time to finish it, and it wasn't the best of the work for the Barcelona album. So it was shelved. But in 1990, it was Queen-ified. Mike Moran IS credited on the Queen version, but most of his parts were left out really. He's not even listed in the official BMI credits. Africa By Night is All God's People, but an early version of it. Barcelona, the song, was never Africa By Night. Freddie was asked to write a single titled 'Barcelona', so Barcelona actually exhisted as a song title, before the lyrics were written. Africa By Night came later, when it was decided to do an album, and it wasn't much of anything really. It was a 'I Guess We're Falling Out' kind of thing, but as a Freddie solo song.
