I think I would really enjoy the song without all the movie lines, and sword fighting, and general noise other than lyrics.

I doubt it. Even the eYe remixes have those effects in them, I believe.

that is quite different to the album version. There is no guitar intro,
instead this version starts with Freddie's vocals. All of Kurgan's lines
are edited out of the track and sword fighting sound effects from Highlander
are gone as well. I prefer this version to the album version.
