you will probably not know that most of us Queen fans of the seventies enjoyed a bit of ELO so as he was the bass player and lesser known member of the band i just thought that maybe some of the Queenies did not know he had died.
Again RIP Kelly
oh and possible link to make you happy could be louis Carke (Queen symthonic & ElO orchestral Arranger ) Michael Kamen (worked with Queen & Jeff Lynne of ELO )  , Mac the producer , didnt he work with Queen and ELO .....maybe a bit of research my friend.
Maybe we could ask Queenzoners for any more ELO & Queen Links and get the forum started !!!!!!

Well Saif just wanted to say that posts like this are usually being put to the "Personal" forum.

I love ELO. My favorite band after Queen. I was really sad to hear about this.

RIP Kelly.

I love ELO too, but this belongs in the Personal section. But still, RIP.

I was listening to a local Radio radio station, just over a week ago & Kelly Gruocutt was the guest in the Radio station studio,  He was talking about his time with ELO & an upcoming tour, with his band "Orchestra"  a spin off from ELO & ELO pt 2.  They were going to play Sheffield City Hall. The radio station played various ELO tracks during the interview.  This sort of give me the urge to dig out some ELO cd's & listen to them in the car.  Also I was also in the process of going to buy some tickets for the Sheffield gig, because years back in the 80's I saw ELO twice at Birmingham NEC & ELO pt 2 in the 90's at Sheffield & the concerts were excelent. So I thought I'd give "Orchestra" a go.

Why I got the urge to listen to old ELO, When all I ever listen to in my car is QUEEN, I don't know, Spooky or what?

RIP   Kelly

I couldn't figure out some of the music choices actually.  I was especially baffled by the whimsical stuff that was playing when Heath Ledger's family was on their way to the stage.  Not that anyone wants to hear grim music, because it'd be quite inappropriate - but one would think they'd at least play a musical theme that was remotely related to the guy winning the award.
I dunno, maybe it was a jazz version of the Brokeback theme and I just didn't notice?

yeah, the music did seem rather bizzare and quite off-putting at times but im not a fan of background music playing whilst someone is speaking anyway
